I need some cut out boots in my life so badly; and how cute are these from New Look?! New Look has been on top form recently, I went in the other week and lusted after everything. Who can't not want dresses with skulls and cats on? I constantly want new things for my room, and Dunelm Mill is always the first place I look!

TAG: Would you rather?

I saw this post on the lovely Sophie's blog and love these types of posts. They give such a different insight into the people behind the blogs, so I thought I'd give it a go!

1. Would you rather lose all your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lip glosses or lose all your palettes and eyeshadows?
I don't really use eyeshadow/palettes that much mainly because I'm not really great with eyeshadow! I constantly use eyeliner, lipstick etc. so I don't think I could live without them.

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Anyone who knows me knows how attached I am to my hair, cutting it off would be heart breaking but I don't really want gross, dead hair! I'd probably end up chopping it of, as long as I could grow it back (and wear a wig, because nobody would want to see me with short hair).

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or pink cheek?
I don't think coral really suits my skin tone, so I'd probably go for pink.

4. If you had £1,000 to spend would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Ooh this one is tough. I'd probably buy clothes, because I always need new clothes and have so much makeup already!

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
How weird is this...? It'd be really messy and difficult to apply eyeliner as lipstick, so probably lippy as eyeliner.

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
MAC, hands down.

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
One eyeshadow definitely. I don't really experiment with eyeshadow as much I do with lipstick.

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
In the UK, it's basically winter all year round (with the exception of this year!). I'd probably wear winter clothes in summer.

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
I don't know. Probably dark nails, I'm a closeted goth and cannot resist a good old black nail!

10. Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favourite eye product?
I'm guessing eyebrow kits/pencils come into eye products, so I'd have to give up my favourite lip products! I couldn't live without filling in my brows, I look like an alien without them and that wouldn't be fair for other people.

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or messy bun?
Messy buns seem to suit everyone but not me. I love a messy ponytail, or even a slicked back one, so ponytail it is!

12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?
I've never been a huge lip gloss fan. They are always sticky and I prefer matte lips! If it was lipstick or lip balm, it'd be another story, but I'd give up lip gloss.

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
I've got black hair, so sharpie would look better than none at all!
I'm going to tag anybody who reads this. Leave links to yours in the comments so I can have a little nosey!

Favourite lip balms!

I'm so bad with lip balms, I have so many because I constantly feel like I need to pick one up whenever I've popped into Boots or Superdrug! My lips can get so dry and some lip balms I've tried barely do anything to help, especially Vaseline. I've never liked Vaseline, it's far too greasy and doesn't even hydrate my lips.

Carmex Lip Pot - £2.69
The Body Shop Coconut Lip Butter - £4
Burt's Bees Pomegranate Lip Balm - £3.69
eos Lip Balm (Honeysuckle Honeydew) - £3.69

Everyone knows how great Carmex are for the lip care! I don't mind even mind the kind of medicinal smell to it, because it works so well for dry, chapped lips. It's my go-to lip care product in the winter months (or basically the entire year for the UK).

I love this Body Shop lip butter ridiculous amounts! It smells so yum, coconut is one of my favourite scents ever. Coconut is super hydrating and it works wonders on dry lips. The only problem is that because it's a white colour, if you put too much on you can end up look like a walking dead person!

When I was in the USA I had some money left over on my last day and picked this Burt's Bees lip balm up in the drugstore. It smells of beeswax, obviously, but also a bit fruity because of the pomegranate. I usually use this lip balm when I want a hint of colour, but it is just as good for hydrating lips. I love that it is a little bit tinted, so I probably use it the most at the moment.

I also got the eos lip balm in the USA as they are easy to find over there! It has such an fresh, fruity scent. I originally got the strawberry flavoured one, but I didn't like the smell because it was too sweet, so I gave it to my sister. It's so hydrating but still light, so it doesn't feel really thick and greasy.

Lush hair products

After trying to ombré hair, which had disastrous results (think half my hair being orange straw!), I dyed my hair back to a more natural colour. All this dying and general use of heat hasn't left my hair in the best condition!

I recently took a trip into my local Lush, mainly because the hair routine I had wasn't really working for me. I had heard so many positive things about Lush's hair products and hoped they'd be able to save me from having to cut my hair short! A lovely girl found me some bits that would help, and gave me some testers before I committed to them! I did end up buying all of them because how great they were for my hair!

*Blousey Shampoo - £18.00 for 240g*
*R&B Hair Moisturiser - £10.95 for 100g*
*Retread Conditioner - £9.95 for 245g*

Blousey is specifically for damaged hair and dyed hair. The main ingredients are bananas and cocoa butter, which are both really hydrating for you hair! The shampoo doesn't lather up as much as my previous shampoos, which at first made me feel like my hair wasn't properly clean. However my hair was really clean, I could have gotten away with another day before washing it! The price was a bit off putting, but it is a really good product.

Retread is a heavy weight conditioner, again for damaged hair. Honestly I have never had a conditioner that smells as nice as this does! I can't even describe how good this smells; it is sort of fruity, but still really light and fresh. Retread really hydrated my hair, as well as keeping it smooth and soft right up to my next wash!

R&B is basically a leave in conditioner. Once again, it's another Lush product that smells ridiculously good. It hydrated and tames my hair so well that I wouldn't hesitate about actually buying this myself! I just comb it through damp hair and then leave my hair to dry naturally.

Lush's hair products definitely live up to the hype! I'm so in love with all these products, that I don't think I'd hesitate to buy any of them again. They really work well for my hair type and I'm really happy with all of them!

What's your favourite Lush product and would you try their hair products?

Absence makes the heart grow fonder?

I AM BACK! I've not posted anything in a ridiculously long time! A levels and trying to find work take up so much time that I've completely neglected blogging. However, I am back. I'm now fully committed to blogging because it's the summer holiday!
Recently I've moved down to Cornwall to live with my dad, it might just be for the summer or it might be forever. Who knows? I'll be able to do more outfit posts because there are so many better locations for shooting! It's just generally a great place, especially in this weather.
