The Christmas tag

I've been such a slacker when it comes to blogging, but here is a post that I thought was pretty easy but also really festive! I am the biggest child when it comes to Christmas, I love it so much. As soon as the first day of December came about, I begged my mama to get our tree! I have all my presents brought and wrapped, I'm so excited.

What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
There is so much oh my god! I love the food, the tv, the presents, decorating the tree, getting up super early and that everybody is more relaxed and happy. It's just my favourite time of the year.

What is your favourite make up look for the festive season?
I love winter because all the gothic make up looks appear! I love pale or red lips and dark eyes. I just love dark eyes, because I can rock it because I'm so pale and dark haired!

Real tree or fake tree?
We always had a real one, then we had a fake one for a years but luckily it broke! Real trees are more christmassy to me, the smell is just the best. So yeah definitely a real one!

Giving presents or receiving presents?
Everyone loves getting presents, whatever they pretend! I really do love giving them too though, especially seeing people opening something you've really thought about and they like it. Receiving them are still great too though...

Do you open your Christmas presents morning or evening?
Morning! How can someone sit through the whole day with unopened presents, I couldn't bare it. I love getting up at stupid o'clock and waking my mum up to let us open them!

Handmade Christmas cards or bought?
I think making them is really really thoughtful and sweet! I don't have any artistic talent though, so I buy mine. Easy way out but cards are that important to me.

What is your favourite Christmas film?
Home Alone or Elf!

What is your favourite Christmas food?
I love a good roast dinner for lunch, but we always end up having little snack bits after which are just as good. I love Christmas food so much, I'm a huge pig and eat literally everything.

What are you favourite things about Christmas?

My first proper outfit of the day, hooray! Today is my mumma's birthday (happy birthday mother bear!), so we went out for a family meal. It was way too cold to wear a dress, so I opted for jeans, which is unusual for me. It also gave me an excuse to try my new Kate Moss for Rimmel matte lipstick, I'm totally in love with it! I really want to buy the whole range now.

Mini shopping spree

I went to Watford this morning with Elle, and we had a little shopping spree. Mainly I went to buy this Wednesday Adams' style dress from Primark, but it was the most unflattering, disgusting dress I've ever tried on. Instead I brought this really sweet plain black dress. It looks even prettier with a white shirt underneath (bonus!).

Also I wanted a tartan scarf for a while, and was looking for in H&M I'd seen online, but they didn't have it. So we pottered about Primark for a little while longer and I found one in there for £4! Bargain! It's so soft too, I love it. I couldn't resist picking up this phone case from Primark for £2, polka dots are so cute.

Finally I managed to get my hands on the Kate Moss matte range. I have literally been lusting over them for ages, while everyone has been raving about them too. I got the shade in 107 and it's the prettiest lipstick I've ever owned. I'm not a big fan of glossy finish lipsticks, so this matte colour is soo perfect for me. I will probably wear this daily for the rest of my life.

p.s. happy halloween everyone, have you got any plans for tonight?

photo diary

I've not blogged (apart from my sudden urge last night) in ages! I've not even done my week in photos  in about 2 weeks or something stupid like that, so here's a little catch up post...

1/ I feel like a Burberry model in my Forever21 mac 2/ Reunited with the love of my life 3/ Train reading on the way to the Theatre to see Much Ado About Nothing 4/ Snug as a bug 5/ Beautiful little fat bear 6/ Sparkly nails 7/ Most beautiful thing I've ever eaten 8/ Craft fair in the freezing cold = lots of layers 9/ Henna I got at the craft fair, so pretty

Christmas Craft Fair

I went to a craft fair today, my mum's best bud's sister hosts them, and she has her own crafty business. There was all sorts of different bits and bobs of the various stalls. There was cute little pieces for you home, handmade jewellery, cakes and some 'vintage' clothing. I had such fun, even though it was absolutely freezing! There was the nicest lady doing proper Indian henna for £3! How can you say no? It looks soo beautiful, but I couldn't take a decent photo of it because it's gone dark. Anywhere here are the few bits I got...

The sweetest guy ever was selling natural bath bits, sort of like Lush. It all smelt beautiful! My mum got an apple and elderflower soap for me, it smells so fresh! She also got some chocolate, coconut and raspberry bath bombs for herself, as well as the little soap dish.

Oops didn't realise how much these blended with my bedsheets! I got these adorable boxes too, they look so pretty and make my room look cute. I've used them for my make up (which was previously in a peg basket!) and nail polishes, my dressing table looks so pretty now!

I recently broke my scrabble ring (a sad moment), so I got a replacement one. It's ten times better made than my other, so will hopefully last longer! Also I was going to get some skull earrings like this from River Island for about £8, but I saw these today for £4.50! They're soo cute, I will definitely be wearing them for Halloween.

winter goth

As soon as winter comes around any hint of colour in my clothes seems to disappear! I'm literally a goth in the winter, all I wear is black. Or if I'm feeling really adventurous maybe white! Next month when I get to spend all my money on me (no more birthdays and Christmas isn't quite here), I'm going to buy some new clothes that are quite bright so that I'm not constantly in black until next summer! This skirt from Topshop will be the first thing I buy, it's  been on the top of my mental wishlist for ages!
Are you guys all really adventurous with colour or do you stick to black/dark colours like me?

10 October 2012

my week (and a half) in photos

I've been absent from blogging, because (surprise surprise) I've been ill again! I have literally spent the last two days in bed with the flu, and had no energy to do anything, so here is a little catch up post...

001 - I spent last Monday in bed with the naughty little monkeys, being ill again :-( poor me.

002 - My bed is the comfiest place ever, I love early nights.

003 - I got into the Halloween mood with a cute tea light holder and some bat cookies,  although the cookies ended up tasting not very nice, hate packet mixes!

004 - Yet another photo of bedtime, with my pretty little girl.

005 - Saturday's face

006 - Saturday night in with snacks and the X-factor, I love Ella Henderson loads.

007 - This vaseline is the most beautiful smelling thing ever!

008 - I finally got my nails redone, I absolutely love this colour, wintery colours are so pretty.

009 - The only things to get you through being ill!

05 October 2012

it could of been you, could of been you

top - miss selfridge/ skirt - missguided/ jacket - topshop/ scarf - topshop
First actual outfit of the day post! I'm  so sorry for the picture quality and the messy background but I just really wanted to show you guys this outfit. I love it so much, I'm such a goth honestly, I rarely wear bright colours. The skirt from missguided, is my favourite skirt ever and it's such a bargain (only £14.99!!). I wear my black one all the time, so I also got it in a coral colour for the summer. I wear my leather jacket constantly, it's my favourite piece of clothing because it goes with everything. Everyone should have a nice leather jacket. I teamed this with cute little pumps and also slipped a hoody under my jacket because it was soooo cold today! Luckily I got to finish at lunch and had a warm bubbly bath to get over how cold it was!

I hope you've all had a good day and enjoyed this x

blog illustration

I recently asked Hannah to do me an illustration for me to use as a header and blog button. It's sooo perfect and it really looks like me (or even prettier than me). She was really understanding and did exactly what I wanted! She's really lovely and has a brilliant blog too. Her illustrations are the most beautiful things ever! She doesn't have a set price but just wants a little something for her work and is really open to how much you're willing to pay. I absolutely love this.

Check out her work, it's brilliant and she's absolutely lovely!

my week in photos

green tea with a slice of lemon is my new favourite/ you like bags don't you?/ being spoilt by my mum/ how horrendous that i have to wear this for two years/ churchill please go away/ never felt more unwell, not leaving here today/ apparently going for a walk will make me feel better, i don't think so/ domestic goddess - chocolate slices/ got the other side of my nose pierced so in love!

This week has been school work, school work, school work. I have felt really unwell all week and mum cheered me up with various treats. I took Friday off, because I just couldn't even get out of bed and wanted to be okay for tomorrow. Have you seen my indentification badge? Oh what'd they even do to make me look so red! It's horrid anyway, so I stuck a sticker that smells of jelly beans over it. I got my nose pierced Saturday and made chocolate slices, I'm so in love with my nose, perfecttt. Everyone loves my chocolate slices, you'd all love them, if you could try them. Next week is going to be even better hopefully!

weekly wishlist #2

1. Topshop - Lace Corset Flippy Tunic Dress/ 2. Missguided - Micil Velveteen Cat Face Pumps/ 3. Topshop - Cable Scarf/ 4. H&M - Boots/ 5. H&M - Jumper

1. I was looking at scarves and this dress popped up next to it, I just fell in love with it and found it so beautiful. I think it'd even look really cute with a white shirt underneath, like a pinafore.
2. I have seen these pumps everywhere! They're sooo cute, especially for a cat lover. I am definitely going to get a pair.
3. I have a scarf similar to this in blue, but think I need another to go with the outfits I can't wear my blue one with. Topshop's cable knit scarves are beautiful! They're so warm and soft.
4. Biker style boots have been on the top of my wishlist for ages! These from H&M are absolutely beautiful and they'll look really cute with a little dress and some cute socks.
5. I saw this beautiful jumper on Lana Del Rey in her new H&M campaign, it looks ridiculously soft. I wouldn't usually wear pink, but just by how soft, warm and pretty this looks I would wear it.

10 day 'you' challenge #7

#10 secrets // #09 loves // #08 fears // #07 wants // #06 places // #05 foods // #04 books // #03 films // #02 songs // #01 picture of yourself.

1. An Oversized Mulberry Alexa or a Del Rey, or a Bayswater. I have forever been in complete and utter love with Mulberry. If I had a real (yes I have a really good quality dupe of the Bayswater oops!) one, my entire life would be complete. I could never be unhappy with a Mulberry handbag, if I was upset I'd just cradle it until it made me happy again.
2. Long nails, I've forever been a nervous bitter of my nails. It irritates and frustrates me so much. I hate it, but each time they get long, they always snap, not only do I bite them when nervous, but they're incredibly weak. My mum is paying for me to get acrylic tips put on to help them grow, and then I'm going to build up the strength of them by getting them done professionally. It's something that has always upset me, so why not pay to get them sorted out.
3. A Pandora bracelet, my sister got one for Christmas last year (I think!) and I wasn't too sure whether I liked them, but I've fallen in love hers and try  it on (although it's far too big for my wrists) whenever I can sneak a chance. I'd think it'd be nice to have one to build up with cute charms that mean something to me or just the pretty beads.
4. Anything from my recent wishlist. Especially the Topshop skirt, perfect for sixth form!
5. To go to the V&A, I've wanted to go to this museum for about 3 years. I love museums and could spend hours walking around them. I've heard so many great things about the V&A. The current 'British Glamour Since 1950' exhibition and the future 'Hollywood Costume' exhibition just enforce the fact I want to go even more. Luckily I've found someone to go with me next month!
6. A chinese takeaway, I've not had chinese in absolutely ages! Seriously craving it now.
7. A holiday. I've not been abroad for about 3 years, I think. We are going to Tobago in the April half term next year, this makes me want a warm sunny beach to lay on even more. I'm super excited to go away! Even though I will probably spend most of the time in my room doing coursework or something, boo!

10 day 'you' challenge: #8

#10 secrets // #09 loves // #08 fears // #07 wants // #06 places // #05 foods // #04 books // #03 films // #02 songs // #01 picture of yourself.

I've not really got lots of fears and most of them aren't me scared, they're me being weird about things. Unlike the majority of people I'm actually not even scared of spiders! Anyway, I'll get on with it.

1. Snakes. This would be a phobia I think. I can't even see them on TV or pictures of them, without physically feeling sick. I've cried over pictures of them, I can't even think about them. I saw one once in a zoo and actually ran off and cried. I can't even begin to explain how much they make me sick. They're the most disgusting creatures in the entire world.
2. Sauces. I'm not sure why, but sometimes sauces make me feel really sick. I can eat them on some things, but usually if they make me cringe and just feel really ill. It's the weirdest thing but I can't stand them.
3. Sneezing in public. I can't sneeze at all in public without wanting to cry. I try everything I can to not sneeze in public. It's mainly because I don't like drawing attention to myself. It's just horrid, I don't like it at all.
4. School. For a while I had a fear of going to school and would have panic attacks if I even got close to it. It got so bad that my school attendance became like 30%. Luckily I've worked with people to sort it out and now I go to sixth form happily.
5. Failing. Most people probably fear this, but I fear it to almost an extreme level. Before my GCSE results I almost cried each day because I was so scared that'd I not done well. If I put a lot of work into something then the fear gets worse because I'd feel so disappointed in myself too.
6. Smelling bad. I'm so scared in case I smell. I carry around body spray everywhere I go. I got told once that I stank of smoke, I walked off and cried because I was so worried everyone could smell it. Now I don't leave any of my clothes downstairs, or let anyone smoke in my room.
7. Apocalypses. This kind of fascinates me but scares me so much too. I get so scared just in case something will happen to cause the end of the world, or something like that. I spend too much time thinking about it and what could happen, honestly it scares me. Especially since this whole thing about the world ending this year.
8. Dying by myself. This fears links in with the last one, I'm scared that I will die by myself, without anyone to say goodbye to or spend my last few moments with. I also worry that I will die while I'm unhappy with someone, or worry I may not be able to say I love you to my family just before. I can't handle thinking about it.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle review

Sorry for making two posts today, but I really wanted to share this with you and couldn't help myself. Recently while staying at my dad's, I tried the Aussie hair care range. I'd heard loads of praise from bloggers about the brand, so was dying to see what the fuss was all about. I have seriously damaged, dry hair mainly because I used to be obsessed with straightening and blow drying my hair. The shampoo is brilliant, and so is their conditioner, neither leave any residue behind like some brands do. It also made me hair really shiny and soft. However seeing as it was the 3 for £10 offer, I decided to pick this up to give my hair a little extra boost. I love the packing so much, it's dead cute. It says on the back to relax in the bath with music and candles, which I did.
So I washed my hair using their Colour Mate shampoo, and then ran a bath and put the 3 Minute Miracle conditioner on. It feels quite tacky on your hands, and I don't think I used enough. However once on it was fine. It suggest leaving it between a minute and three. I didn't really track the time, oops, but I'm guess it was three minutes!

Then I dunked my head in the bath and massaged my head to make sure it was definitely out. I didn't blow dry my hair, so I didn't feel the effect until this morning. I woke up and my hair felt soo smooth and soft compared to usually. I couldn't stop touching my hair all morning!

I definitely recommend this product, it's so good and smells beautiful. Aussie are quickly becoming my favourite hair care brand.

10 day 'you' challenge

#10 secrets // #09 loves // #08 fears // #07 wants // #06 places // #05 foods // #04 books // #03 films // #02 songs // #01 picture of yourself.

1. My little sister, as much as she's a brat sometimes, we get on really well most of the time. I love her loads and don't really tell her that much, because we're always arguing. We're so close in age, so even though we're completely different, we are so close. I'll always be there for her.
2. My parents, I am so close to both my parents. I go to them about everything and they've helped me so much. I haven't any idea what I'd do with them.
3. My best friend,  Kasey is the most brilliant person I've ever met. She understands me completely and I don't feel like I have to act a certain way around her. She's the most understanding, sweet and beautiful person ever.
4. My cats, I spoke about them last time, but they're my babies. I love them so much.
5. Films, I watch stupid amounts of films. I could spend the rest of my life watching them and be happy.
6. Music is an obvious choice and everyone says how they can't live without it, but it's true. It's helped me through loads of tough situations and just makes me feel so much better. I can't understand what it means to me, I listen to it so much and can't go a day without music.
7. Books, I've read as much as I can ever since I was tiny. My nanna used to say I'd always have my nose in a book and it's true. I can get so lost in a book and forget about whatever is going on in my life. I get so attached to characters and plots, that I always think they're real.
8. Hair, my hair is something I'm so attached to, it's weird. I couldn't even begin to think about getting it cut by someone else anymore, let alone have it chopped off. I feel so much more feminine with long hair, it makes me feel better.
9. Quiz shows, I'm not sure why, but there is something strangely addicting about quiz programmes. I watch so many and they help me to pretend that I'm intelligent and know lots.

10 day 'you' challenge

I saw this on Jayde's blog quite a while back thought I'm definitely doing that when I make my blog! It's the 10 day 'you' challenge and I thought it'd be a fab way for you guys to get to know me a bit better.

#10 secrets // #09 loves // #08 fears // #07 wants // #06 places // #05 foods // #04 books // #03 films // #02 songs // #01 picture of yourself.

Today's challenge is 10 secrets. I don't think there's any point putting 'secrets' on the internet because it defeats the point of it being a secret really. Instead I'm going to 10 facts about me...

1. I have six cats; Bella, Frodo, Jim, Luna, Millie, Harmony! They're the cutest things ever, I love them so much. Forever going to be a crazy cat lady, little fluffy balls of cuteness.

2. I love going to aquariums and the sea, I wish I could live in the sea with all the fishes. They're so amazing. I can't explain my obsession with them.

3.I'm the most organized, tidy person you'll ever meet. Messy rooms infuriate me so much! I have to organize books/dvds into alphabetical order.

4. I have a longboard and love just riding around my village on it.

5. The twenties, fifties and eighties are my favourite time periods. I would give anything to live in them.

6. I'm obsessed with Vampire Diaries, The Secret Circle, 2 Broke Girls and New Girl. American TV is the best.

7. I would chew my right arm off to look like Amber Heard, Miley Cyrus or Scarlett Johanson.

8. I have eight piercings; my conch, my tragus, three on my left lobe, two on my right lobe and my nostril. I'm getting the other side of my nose pierced soon too!

9. I spend 99% watching films. I watch so many it's crazy.

10. I drink endless amounts of iced tea and chai tea lattes.

I'm the most uninteresting person ever, so sorry if I've bored you to tears with this post, hopefully the next will be better x

This week has been boring! I started sixth form, and I'm exhausted from it, but I love it so much. I'm so happy to be learning again and doing something productive. I've spent the weekend doing nothing, apart from going to Ikea, tidying my room and sitting around watching films!

Why don't I have any money, oh boo! There is so much I want at the moment. The Oversized Alexa I have wanted pretty much forever, and I love the 'Pinky Mink' colour of it, sooo pretty. I was a bit unsure about peplums but after hearing how flattering they are, I'm definitely buying one! This one from Matalan is only £12.99, absolute bargain. I love turquoise and mint, so the H&M jumper and Topshop skirt are to die for. I need a new lippy and I love orangey coral tones!

13 September 2012

the types of kisses where teeth collide

This is my first outfit post, if you guys like it I will do more. I had go changed into scruffy clothes before I took the picture, so I laid my outfit out. I started sixth form recently and I've been finding it really hard finding a new outfit each day. Also it's made me realise that I have so many clothes but none that I actually wear.

This is what I wore today. I really love it. My leather jacket is from Topshop, as well as my jumper, but that was from last year! It's so warm, and was cosy this morning but when it warmed up I was so hot. I teamed it with a black bodycon skirt from New Look, black loafers from ASDA for £12 (such a bargain!), my hat from Forever 21 and my cross/amethyst necklace that I wear daily.

Hope you enjoyed x

What's in your bag?

This is my first blog post, so I thought I'd ease myself into it by doing something simple to start. I've seen on quite a few blogs I read this post and I personally liked reading it, so thought I'd share what's in my bag!

This is the bag I'm currently using, I'm so in love with it! I got it for sixth form because it's absolutely massive. I can't begin to explain how much I have fallen for it. It's the Mari Tote in camel from Accessorize, it also comes in black and green too. It's £38.00, which is such a good price, it's such good quality and fits absolutely loads in! I've gotten so many compliments from everyone, saying they love my bag.
So in my bag are my three notebooks, the cow one is from Tesco, the Hello Kitty and Cupcake ones are from WHSmith, as well my Winnie the Pooh pencil case. I'm a sucker for cute stationary, I love buying it. My little fairy diary is temporary from my mum, so I don't know where it's from. Then my iPhone 4s and earphones, which are vital for me being able to survive the day! There is also my leopard print nail from Tesco, Soap & Glory hand cream, Rosy Lips Vaseline, Ted Baker body spray, Max Factor Silky Gloss and my little heart shaped mirror. I'm really bad and can't go anywhere without all these, they're the beauty bits I carry everywhere. Then there are my fake Dior sunnies, that I got on holiday, which are me being a very optimistic about the weather. Really I should have a umbrella! I always have a book with me, and I'm currently reading Losing Lila, its so good! Next is my turquoise purse from Primark, I love the colour so much. It was only something like £7, so an absolute steal. Lastly are my house keys with my sheep, vans, Eiffel Tower and polar bear key rings. I'm a bit obsessed with key rings!
I hope you've enjoyed my first post, I've ramble so much! Comments on what else you'd like to see would be appreciated.
